The team behind Kitchen Pop: Four ways to make holiday magic with your microwave won our coveted “cross-team collaboration” award this week, becoming the first to win that contest in the process. The win comes just a few weeks after the project also became the first to win our contest for best web packaging.
About Kitchen Pop
The project used stop-motion animation to bring quick and delicious holiday dishes to life. video editor Yvonne Leow, who nominated the project, noted that it was the team’s first use of stop-motion animation. It was also the first interactive completed done for Digital First Media’s food channel.
“There were bumps in the road, but the ultimate project turned out great and we received a lot of positive feedback from local (DFM) properties,” Leow said in her nomination of the project.
Former news producer Jacquelyn Baylon also contributed.
