Aaron Edwards is a former news producer for Digital First Media's Project Thunderdome.
A 2012 graduate of Ithaca College, Mr. Edwards previously worked as a reporting fellow at The New York Times and has also interned at The Associated Press London Bureau, the CBS News National Desk, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Atlanta Sunday Paper.
In his time as a reporter, Mr. Edwards has covered a wide range of stories, including the homeless shelter system in New York City, the Gulf Coast oil spill of 2010, British spending cuts protests in 2011, socioeconomic issues and politics in Atlanta and the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
He was given an honorable mention by the College Media Association as one of the top student media leaders in the country while directing The Ithacan, Ithaca College's student newspaper and winner of Best Non-Daily College Newspaper in the Country from The Society of Professional Journalists in 2012. Under his leadership, the paper moved through a swift digital transition to daily online journalism, a comprehensive website redesign and internal production overhaul.
Mr. Edwards is also a member of The National Association of Black Journalists, a Chips Quinn Scholar and a graduate of The New York Times Student Journalism Institute.
