Ryan Teague Beckwith is the politics channel manager for Digital First Media, supervising national political coverage across nearly all of the company's daily newspapers.
A lifelong newspaper reporter and editor, he has covered politics at the local, state and national level for more than 15 years at newspapers in the Pacific Northwest, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. He previously helped launch political websites for the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer and the CQ Roll Call company.
Mr. Beckwith has also taught journalism at Grays Harbor College, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently at Georgetown University's graduate journalism program. He is the co-author and co-editor of "On the Harbor: From Black Friday to Nirvana," a history of the area around Aberdeen, Wash.
He is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Ore., and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
